A Conversation with Sustainne Founder Analiese Paik, Natural Awakenings, September 2018
“New platform Sustainne takes a holistic approach to business sustainability” by Phil Hall, Westfair Online,

Sustainne launched in October 2017 and is quickly growing into a local-sustainable living community. Sustainable businesses, and consumers who purchase with purpose, are joining Sustainne to connect with one another and make local-sustainable living inspirational, fun and easy. Brands have a new and unique digital marketing solution that connects them directly with their target market. Consumers have a convenient and fast way to find the local products and services that align with their values. Business members become part of the Sustainne collective where they collaborate, share, inspire, support and help each other grow sustainably.
CEO Analiese Paik figured the time was just right for an authority site dedicated to local-sustainable living. The number of businesses offering sustainable products and services continues to grow and has achieved critical mass sufficient to support a membership model. The consumer is more willing than ever to purchase with purpose, even if it means paying a premium. In 2016, national surveys showed a steady and significant rise in all the indicators necessary to justify building a local-sustainable living directory and community. After surveying small businesses in the area, the need for a sustainable business collective became apparent.
Sustainne is dedicated to continually growing the value of our service for consumers, businesses and the community. Our first major service upgrade was the addition of a community calendar showcasing our business members’ events. We held our first Sustainable Living Expo on October 13, 2018 in partnership with Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk.
The Sustainable Living Expo at Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk on Saturday, October 13, 2018 drew over 800 people interested in learning ways to live more sustainably every day from exhibiting Sustainne business members. Our used textile recycling drive diverted hundreds of pounds of waste from incineration and returned these valuable materials to the production cycle. We have successfully broadened the conversation and introduced new everyday choices and behaviors to help our state transition to a zero waste and zero emissions economy and look forward to continuing our work with the community.
