Join Sustainne and other advocates – including 82 organizations – for a local event that’s part of the Global Climate Strike week kickoff. We want our state to take action immediately to declare a climate emergency and put a mobilization plan in place to holistically address this existential threat.
Join a worldwide movement demanding climate action. Together we will show our elected officials that everyone cares about climate change and we expect them to take immediate and drastic action to address it.
Climate change is the biggest threat to the future of our lives, country and world. Youth across the U.S. are leading a #ClimateStrike on Friday to demand immediate action to combat climate change. #StrikeWithMe #StrikeWithUs #ClimateStrike

Want to get even more protesting accomplished?
A contingent of Fracked Gas Fighters (who oppose the new Killingly gas plant) will start at the Governor’s residence this Friday at 9:00 a.m. (corner Asylum and Prospect Avenues) and then will march at 10:30 a.m. to the Capitol, to arrive at noon for the Climate Strike rally. Protest signs about the Killingly opposition are available, and organizers are leaving at least one car at the Capitol to drive folks back to the parking spot after the rally to retrieve their vehicles. No need to RSVP and you can of course bring your own sign.
