A Pollinator Week Celebration
In celebration of our pollinators, Sustainne invites you to a zero waste tasting of 4 single origin honeys and 4 clean-crafted natural wines
paired with seasonal local foods at the Red Bee Barn in Weston, CT on June 16, 2019.

clean-crafted wines, and Marina Marchese of Red Bee Honey
, for a tasting of these two iconic foods. We will explore their sources/varietals, sustainable harvesting and production methods that each contribute to their unique scents and flavors, and role in conserving our pollinators.

1) Organic, Vegan Sparkling White, off dry: NV Che Fico Prosecco, Veneto, Italy - single vineyard, hand picked from 15-year-old vines
2) Organic, Vegan Rose: 2018 Gallivant Rosé, Mendocino County, California - hand picked from 30+ year-old vines
3) Organic, Vegan White: 2018 Conte De La Terre Chenin Blanc, Mendocino County, California - hand picked from 38-year-old vines
4) Organic, Vegan Red: 2015 Fiddleneck Syrah, Mendocino County, California - hand picked from 15-year-old vines
Tickets are $40 and include a pollinator-friendly plant, a planting for pollinators guide, and a signed copy of Marina's book: Honeybee: Lesson's from an Accidental Beekeeper. Seating is limited and no walk-in guests will be admitted. Purchase your tickets using the Get Tickets link to the right.
The afternoon begins with a short tour of the apiary and talk about honeybees, flowers, pollinators and wine grapes. Afterwards, we gather at communal tables inside the barn for a guided tasting that is both interactive and educational.
Guests will leave with a native pollinator friendly plant for their organic garden, a Planting for Pollinators guide, practical tips on how to help bees and other pollinators to thrive, an appreciation for single-nectar source honey and natural wines grown organically and biodynamically, and a signed copy of Marina’s book, Honeybee: Lessons from an Accidental Beekeeper.
